When the Adequan® Level 2 championship classes launched at the 2015 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, their debut was met with enthusiasm from exhibitors, owners and professionals. In fact, the addition of the Adequan® Level 2 classes increased Lucas Oil World entries by 32 percent over the previous year.

WCHA President Greg Holden said, “Barbara’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge will play a key role in growing current programs and realizing new initiatives that will fortify WCHA’s position as the leader in the conformation horse industry.”

Sponsored by Blue Ribbon Custom Tack and produced by the Arizona Paint Horse Association and Arizona Appaloosa Association, this show will include two sets of points over two days. Judges will be Mark McCarthy, Curt Summers, Dan Mannion, and Doug LaSota.

“We are so proud to have the opportunity to honor these leaders in our industry,” APHA Director of Judges Dave Dellin said. “They all have shown the character, commitment and discipline to blaze a path in judging that the rest of us are following.”

In addition to a full line-up of classes, AQHA, APHA, ApHC, or any NSBA approved breed will be welcome. The event will also include a two judge APHA, ApHC show.

The tentative schedule for the 2016 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show is now available online. The event slated for August 5-13 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City features the world’s top youth riders and their American Quarter Horses. The 2016 Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program Stallion Service Auction is up and running with breedings available from some of the industry’s top race-bred stallions. The auction, which takes place until March 1 at 6 p.m. CST, raises funds for incentives and PBRIP sidepots for APHA-registered horses competing at select barrel races around the country.

APHA’s standing committees have posted their agendas for the 2016 APHA Convention on the association’s website.
