Continue reading …Riders from three different organizations battled head to head in the Jim Norick Arena all in hopes of being crowned the 2016 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Collegiate Catch Ride Champion. Four riders from the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA), four riders from the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), and four riders from NRHA competed on catch ride horses for bragging rights. Riders drew their horses at random the day prior to the competition.

Continue reading …This year, the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square played host to 1,300 Pintos and more than 2,240 exhibitors from 45 states and four countries, including: Canada, Sweden, Denmark and Australia. This year, the PWC had over 30,200 judged class entries. Produced by the Pinto Horse Association of America Inc., the Pinto World Championship showcased many disciplines including jumping, showmanship, driving, pleasure and halter.

To kick the show off, Over Fences classes were featured in the John Justin arena. Plenty of scholarship money was awarded to the top competitors with $500 to first, $400 to second, $250 to third, and $150 to a random competitor.
