The concept of individual and team competition at the Ford Youth World mimics the style of an FEI-level reining event.

More than $165,000 in scholarships, available in every world championship class, and a flux of first-timers are part of the reason the Youth World Show is growing in 2016.
Continue reading …In Novice Youth 13 and under Western Pleasure, Julie Fosher rode Quita Machine to a big win. Coming in Reserve was Lillian Woodruff with Huntin An Invitation. Third place was Lindsey Roth with A Magicle Moment. Fourth place was Sheldon Hehr with Innocent Sensation. Rounding out the top five was Chandler Ennis with One Sensational Diva.
Continue reading …Neither of these equestriennes are strangers to the winner’s circle; however, tonight’s performance marked a notable first for each. This is Mary Katherine’s first World Show competing with “Rodney” and her first AjPHA Youth World Championship title earned. Olivia and “Brett” have won Novice Youth Horsemanship and 13 and Under Horsemanship, but this was their first time receiving a buckle in the 14-18 division.
Continue reading …In Novice Youth Horsemanship 13 and Under, Karlee Shiery rode her colorful gelding, TC Hummer, to her first AjPHA Youth World title. Both Karlee and “Hummer” are 12 years old. They currently compete under the guidance of trainer Heather Brower and have done so for six years.
