The winning bidder will receive a certificate to nominate the resulting Appaloosa foal to be eligible for the Stallion Service Auction Two-Year-Old Incentive classes at the World Championship Appaloosa Show. The Two-Year-Old Incentive classes are offered in halter, hunter under saddle and western pleasure. 75% of funds earned through the Stallion Service Auction, 75% of the funds earned through paid nominations and a portion of class entry fees are divided evenly and paid out in these classes! The first Futurity champions were crowned today in an exciting finals which filled the day in Oklahoma City. With an impressive ride, Jack Medows piloted Chicsdreamofdiamonds (Magnum Chic Dream x Princess In Diamonds) as draw 31 out of a field of 32 to a score of 218.5. The duo claimed the title of Cinch NRHA Non Pro Level (L)4 Champion as well as the Youth Non Pro Championship.

This change comes as the next step following the association’s new branding, which was unveiled earlier this year. A Mission Statement Task Force, chaired by Executive Committee member Dr. Craig Wood, spearheaded the effort to develop a memorable mission statement that encapsulated APHA’s goals while remaining clear and concise. The committee solidified the clean, new statement in a final meeting at the 2016 APHA World Championship Show, and the Executive Committee adopted the statement at their November 10 meeting.

The American Quarter Horse Foundation provides scholarships to the college or university of the world champion team, reserve world champion team and third-place teams in the junior and senior college divisions in the contest.

This year’s auction will begin on December 1st and end at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 20th. Owners of stallions whose breedings are purchased in the auction will receive a nomination for the prestigious Two-Year-Old Incentive Classes at the World Show.
