Fair fans won’t want to miss the final performances of the Midwest Horse Fair’s Star Search Competition finalists as they compete for more than $25,000 in cash prizes. Fourteen Midwest Horse Fair Star Search finalists, five from the Open Division, five from the Youth Division and four from the newly added Wild Card Division will contend.

After establishing a prosperous real estate business in California, Fred acquired his first show horse in 1969. His interest piqued by the Paint Horse industry in 1979, Fred purchased Dixie’s War Drum, a 1969 bay tobiano stallion that went on to establish himself as a prominent sire and APHA Hall of Fame horse.

Once your 2016 Stallion Breeding Report is entered into the ApHC computer system, you will receive an e-mail from the ApHC informing you that your Breeder’s Certificates/Registration Applications are available online!

Question: The person I bought the horse from is not the last person listed as the owner according to AQHA records?

Answer: Since AQHA needs to make sure our records are as accurate as possible, we do not knowingly skip an ownership. We do not have a deadline or penalty as to when a transfer should be submitted to AQHA, nor do we charge any type of additional fees, only one $20 transfer fee will be required. We also do not require in between buyers to be current members. Only the ultimate buyer is required to have a current AQHA membership. A transfer report will be needed from each person who owned the horse, along with with horse’s original certificate of registration.

To be considered for the Emeritus Award, a judge must have at least 25 years of service or judged 150 APHA-approved events (25 years of service or 65 events for European-only judges); voluntarily retire with an excellent record; and be in good standing with the Judges Committee, with no disciplinary actions, probations or suspensions on their records. Applicants must be approved by the Judges Committee on an individual basis according to their records. Deceased judges who meet these award requirements will be considered.
