Continue reading …Effective immediately for the 2018 APHA World Championship Show, the APHA World Show qualifying requirement has been modified to provide expanded qualifying options for Paint Horses.
To qualify for the APHA World Championship Show, a horse must:
Participate in a minimum of two APHA-approved events during the qualifying period. There is no minimum judge requirement.
OR
Pay a $1,000 per show qualifying fee if the horse has not participated in the minimum-required APHA-approved events during the qualifying period. This is done at the time of World Show entry. The fee is $2,000 if the horse has not attended any APHA-approved events.
All other qualifying criteria and exemptions remain the same.
This morning, Katie Mitchell led All In All Done to win Weanling Colts for owner Wilburn Archer. Second place was JT Mitchell with Mr Clu Times Two. Third was Jim Fritz with Sharma. Fourth was Mitch Leonarski with Quinclusion Midnight. Fifth was Justin Bisel with Ll Good Lookincowboy.

Continue reading …The new arena plans include two show rings measuring 140’ X 240’ that can also be utilized as warm up arenas for the two Grand Prix arenas measuring 250’ X 350’. Dr. Judy Downer, the Equine Program Manager at College of Central Florida and USEF “R” Judge is also looking forward to the new plans, “I am very excited for the new Martin Collins arenas coming to the Florida Horse Park. This state-of-the-art footing is fabulous for the horses and having an additional arena will expand horse show capacity for the Park.
