Amend SHW452.4 WESTERN RIDING to read: First maneuver – walk at least 15 feet from the start cone to the first marker, transition to jog, jog over log. On western riding patterns 1, 3, 5 and Level 1 pattern 1, the start cone should be placed a minimum of 15 feet before the first pattern marker. On western riding patterns 2, 4 and Level 1 patterns 2 and 4, the start cone should be placed even with the first pattern marker.

3rd Annual Stars & Stripes Summer Spectacular to Take Place at 2018 Appaloosa Nationals and Youth World Show

On Tuesday, June 26th the Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) and the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) will host the full day show for equestrians with disabilities in the W.R. Watt Arena at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. 23 classes will be held for both supported and independent riders, as well as a special division for disabled veterans. This year, thanks to donations collected at last year’s event, an inventory of show clothes ranging from youth to adult sizes will be available for exhibitors to use during the show.

Sharing the top spot were Aaron Moses with Moonrageous for Starland Ranch, LLC. and Katy Jo Zuidema with Hitt The Jackpot for Candace Edgerton. Both winners received checks for $11,250. Moses won the tie-breaker and was presented with the Equine Chronicle buckle and other awards, while Zuidema received the $2,000 Harris Bonus for competing in a Harris Leather & Silverworks saddle.

Its route traces, as closely as possible, the route Chief Joseph and the NezPerce took while attempting to escape the US Cavalry in 1877. This year’s segment is the only “loop ride”during the thirteen years.
