While the eyes of the APHA industry have been focused squarely on Fort Worth for the APHA World Championship Show, AQHA competitors headed west to Scottsdale, Arizona for the Arizona Fall Championship Show. Dubbed the “Show For Everyone,” the event took place September 19-23 at WestWorld and provided a variety of fun, new events that awarded fantastic awards and cash payouts to the champions.
Continue reading …The No. 1 Auburn Tigers took home the first win of the season last Thursday with a 15-4 victory over UT Martin on the road at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Center. The No. 2 spot goes to the Georgia Bulldogs who compete for the first time this season on October 5 when they travel to No. 9 South Carolina. No. 3 Texas A&M and No. 4 Oklahoma State hold their positions this week. The two teams are slated to compete this Friday, September 28, in College Station, Texas.

Five classes paid $118,690 to eligible foals led by non-pro exhibitors. Reformatted in 2016, the Platinum Breeders’ Trust program saw 150 percent growth in entry payments for 2018 from 2017.

It was Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up,” which was the same song that was chosen to play at her father’s funeral, twelve years ago.
Continue reading …Megan East Hogan rode a homebred and raised gelding, Scene It Eye To Eye, to win the 2-Year-Old Non Pro Western Pleasure. The gelding is by Scenic Impulse and is the first foal out of a mare her mother used to show, Certainly Flirtin. Megan admits to feeling a few nerves going into tonight’s performance, because it was her horse’s maiden voyage.
