The Adequan® Select World, which is slated for August 27-31 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, features the world’s top amateur riders, age 50 and over, and their American Quarter Horses. With the new location of the 2019 Adequan® Select World comes several improvements, including a shortened show schedule. Classes will be held in the John Justin Arena and W.R. Watt Arena, condensing the show from nine days to five.

This year’s schedule offers a more exhibitor friendly format with all-around classes grouped together towards the beginning of the show and cattle classes grouped together at the end.

The spring portion of the 2018-19 University of Tennessee at Martin equestrian schedule got off to a rousing start today as the Skyhawks picked up a big 11-9 victory over No. 6 Georgia at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Pavilion.

Because of UC Davis’ academic calendar, the Aggies weren’t able to hold tryouts until the end of the October. Weisinger had only planned to carry about 15 riders on the roster, but ended up taking 17 from tryouts and adding two transfers later. While a majority of the student-athletes had experience in showing, none had previously done the NCEA format. In addition, Weisinger was able to get 12 total horses via donations and leases that are being kept at the school’s on-campus equestrian center.

Southwest Show Management will be bringing The Best In The West Futurity to WestWorld in Scottsdale, Arizona on December 31, 2019. The show will host multiple Halter futurities for AQHA, APHA, and ApHA bred horses. Click here for more details. 

The showbill for the Indiana Quarter Horse Youth Association Show is now online. The show will take place April 17-21 in Cloverdale, Indiana. The judges will be Robin Frid, Brett Clark, Kristy Starnes, Michelle Tidwell, Rhonda Replogle, Derek Hanscome, Cindy Rucker, Glenn Wells, and Manita Defoor.

Each month of 2019 has its own corresponding challenge for AQHYA members to rise to and gain the opportunity to share, connect and grow with AQHYA.
