Every year, APHA honors a select group of horsemen and Paint Horses that have proven to be the leaders and game-changers of our association by inducting them into the APHA Hall of Fame. Know of a special APHA member or Paint Horse who deserves to be recognized? The nominations for the 2020 APHA Hall of Fame Class are due December 1 and can be submitted online.

The show took place August 9th- 18th in Kreuth, Rieden. The idyllic German country panorama was the background for the chermesse dedicated to all Quarter Horse lovers.

As the biggest event in reining history, many horse enthusiasts were anxiously waiting to see the results for The Run For A Million Invitational on Paramount Network’s “The Last Cowboy.” The season finale was released on August 28 and revealed the Million Dollar Invitational results—and it was nothing short of spectacular. Two Paints—Custom Made Gun and No Smoking Required, both sons of APHA Hall of Famer Colonels Smokingun—took top honors as they tied for the event’s championship title.

The ABRA Youth Ambassador must be a youth leader that is active in promoting and supporting ABRA and its activities not only during the World Show but throughout the year. The Youth Ambassador Contest has been designed to recognize and reward an outstanding individual in both the Jr and Sr Ambassador age category.

“During the first week we used DocuSign, 75 percent of signers submitted an authorized signature within one hour,” said Aaron Bovos, AQHA chief operating officer. “Our goal is to get paperwork out the door and in the hands of our members. When a customer uses DocuSign, it allows our Member Experience team to accelerate the completion of the certificate instead of having to send the application/transfer in the mail.”

With a 40% increase in Platinum-enrolled stallions for 2019, the Platinum Breeders’ Futurity classes at the 2019 APHA World Championship Show promises prime competition and an opportunity to win huge paychecks. More than $160,000 is up for grabs to eligible foals and their non-pro exhibitors in the World Show’s five Platinum classes:

New this year, entry forms and qualifier information will be emailed to all current owners of qualified American Quarter Horses for the 2019 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show by the end of August.

Listed below are five (5) candidates who wish to serve in that capacity. Since there will only be three (3) positions open on the ABRA Board of Directors, you may vote for UP TO THREE (3) candidates or you may list a ‘write-in” candidate. If you choose a write-in candidate, please make sure you have checked with that person, and they are willing to serve on the board.
