APHA Hall of Fame Member Wanda Williams Passes

Though she had no direct background with horses, Wanda Williams helped direct the course of APHA. Hired in 1963 as a part-time “pedigree painter” for the fledgling association, Wanda became a full-time employee in 1969. From registrations to rulebook revisions to correspondence with members, Wanda did just about every task APHA had to offer.

World Equestrian Center Ohio to Close Sept 2020-March 2021

The World Equestrian Center – Ohio facility will reopen in April 1, 2021 with an expanded prize list for a spectacular spring and summer circuit. Until that time, we will be busy with a spate of improvements to the facility designed to increase air circulation, reduce barn aisle traffic and allow for social distancing.

Most importantly, entry deadlines are being pushed back, late entry fees are being slashed, and the ApHC has waived the requirement that youth participants must be a member of a Regional Club since so many shows have been canceled as a result of the pandemic.

AQHA Past President Dr. Glenn Blodgett of Guthrie, Texas, will be inducted into the Class of 2021 at the 2021 AQHA Convention in San Antonio. He will be honored at the convention, along with the Hall of Fame Class of 2020, whose induction was postponed due to the cancellation of the 2020 AQHA Convention.
