Showing since she was nine, Emma’s show partner is “Catch Twenty Two,” affectionately known as Will. They show under the guidance of Dale Hamilton. When asked to give an interesting fact about Will, Emma told me that his favorite treat is animal crackers. Together, they compete in Trail, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Equitation, and Hunter Under Saddle. Emma loves to show in all of those classes, but her favorite is Trail.”

Virtual horse shows have taken the internet by storm! Texas A&M University, in collaboration with Louisiana State University, has put together a survey to look into the perception and impact of virtual horse shows that have developed during this unprecedented time and how they may carry on into the future.

One of the key pieces, as we begin the task of navigating the “new normal,” will be for each and every one of you to understand and abide by all guidelines put in place by local, state and federal authorities. The Professional Horsemen’s Council asks every AQHA Professional Horseman in attendance to help event coordinators and managers ensure all participants are following these guidelines. As industry leaders, we must be part of the solution. Affiliates and show managers and secretaries will need our help. If guidelines are not followed, future equine events and even other types of sporting activities, will be in jeopardy.

NSBA Youth is holding an art contest and looking for art to be submitted by youth in three age categories: Small Fry 9 & Under, 10-14 and 15-18.
