2020 Sun Circuit to Include $5,000 Added Hunter Derbies

The Derbies will take place March 3rd. There is $5,000 added to the Open division and over $4,300 in prizes to be awarded. The Non-Pro first place winner will receive a Pessoa Prestige Saddle with Passier Leathers and Sprenger Stirrup Irons- a $2,978 value, as well as an embroidered Euro-Wool Fancy Cooler worth $129.95.

Enter Gate 5 off May Avenue and proceed to the inspection station to present your horses’ health certificates, Coggins (EIA lab test) and registration certificates. The inspection station is open 24 hours and there is a staging area east of the inspection station for trailers to line up in order of arrival.

$50,000 Up For Grabs at Florida Gold and Gulf Coast

An Equine Production has plans for the 2019/2020 Florida Gold and Gulf Coast circuits to be the best yet! There is $50,000 up for grabs at the show to be paid out in interesting ways. For example, there will be $500 added in Amateur Showmanship, but the money will not be paid until after the Champion and Reserve Champion circuits are awarded and then monies will be paid 40%, 30%, 20% and 10%. She also received a Super Sires trophy by Cowboy Bronze, Rowdy Silver Champion Buckle, Nutrena Feed Coupons, and Enviro Equine Goodies. Southern Whispers is owned by Gumz Farms, LLC.

Since January, 58 American Quarter Horse Youth Association members have recorded their progress training a yearling bred by an American Quarter Horse Association Ranching Heritage Breeder. Recently, four AQHYA members were named scholarship winners for the 2019 AQHA Ranching Heritage Young Horse Development Program.

Congratulations Team OHIO on Congress NYATT Win

Divided into two divisions, this year’s Congress tournament hosted 52 teams. The tournament allows a team to send two exhibitors in each of the offered classes: Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Reining, and Barrels. The Ohio Quarter Horse Association team placed very well, taking home 1st place in Division I!
