“As ApHC President, I am here to announce that Steve Taylor, CEO of the Appaloosa Horse Club, has given his 90 day notice of his resignation on 3/19/2019.”

“It is our goal to bring an outstanding roster of judges together to judge the Ford Youth World, because it is one of the most prestigious events in the equine industry,” said Patti Carter, AQHA senior director of judges. “We look forward to the great competition at this year’s show.”

The early-implementation rules revises point eligibility levels for “green” classes, clarifies judging for ranch classes, and create a few new APHA-approved classes—Ranch Cutting (in all divisions), Amateur Color Class, Amateur Overo Color Class and Amateur Tobiano Color Class.

In 2018, Incentive Fund-nominated horses earned 114,734 points. The Incentive Fund point cap for payout was 20 points, which is the average number of points earned, plus 1. Based on the point cap, 52,448.5 total points were paid. 

After receiving member requests to modify the tentative schedule, AQHA revised the Adequan® Select World schedule to better suit exhibitors’ needs and added time estimates based on the previous year’s entry numbers so exhibitors and trainers will understand the expected length of the show days.
