APHA Youth World Games Postponed to 2021

APHA’s much-anticipated Youth World Games will be postponed to 2021 after the worldwide coronavirus crisis forced the European Paint Horse Championship’s cancelation. Teams from twelve countries had entered what was to be Germany’s second time hosting the Games. Now they’ll have an additional year to raise funds for the trip and to prepare for the competition.

2020 Appaloosa Nationals and Youth World Cancelled

The Board said one of its top priorities right now is finding a way for the Youth World Show to take place later this year, either by securing a new date, or by adding youth classes to the ApHC World Championship Show in October. As a first step to help its youth members, the Board approved a motion yesterday to add an additional year of eligibility for every youth competitor. Details will be released on June 3.

ApHC Expects Decision About National Show/Youth World by May 20th

The Appaloosa Horse Club Board of Directors met on Wednesday to discuss a variety of issues related to ongoing operations and the effect COVID-19 is having on the National Show and regional shows. The Board has continued the meeting to next Wednesday, May 20. By that time, the Governor of Texas will have made updated decisions on entering the next phase of re-opening in the State which will allow us to make a final decision concerning the National Show.
