2021 ApHC World Show Waives All Qualifying Requirements

During their annual Spring meeting Saturday, April 10, the Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) Board of Directors voted unanimously to waive all qualifying requirements for the 2021 World Championship Appaloosa Show, scheduled to be held October 29 – November 6 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The decision was made as a result of ongoing concerns and restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ApHC Enters Into Contract Negotiations With Illinois State Fairgrounds

In a special session held March 24, 2021, the Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) Board of Directors voted to enter into contract negotiations with the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois, to host the 2022 and 2023 National and Youth World Championship Shows with an option for a third year. The 2022 show would be tentatively scheduled for June 21-July 2.

Three Paths to APHA Regular Registry, Thanks to New Rule Change

The new RG-020.A.1.b rule proves a pathway to Regular Registry for solid Paints who meet specific requirements and are the product of qualified Paint breeding. Once confirmed by APHA staff, these horses will be included in the APHA Regular Registry with a pattern type listed as “solid,” and they will be eligible to compete in Regular Registry APHA classes at approved competitions.
