“Honk for horses,” read one placard.
Horns blared Saturday as motorists showed they were behind the students picketing at Kellogg and South Campus drives. The nearly two dozen Cal Poly Pomona students were protesting plans to destroy pastureland on the campus and replace it with dorms.
“Even though we need more dorms, when is enough going to be enough?” protest organizer Adam Mason said. “This pasture is home to and feeds many of the horses that roam out here.”
