The first round of the Big A finished up yesterday with large classes and clear skies! Exhibitors have enjoyed numerous parties and events, including an ice cream social, dog show, painted pony party, and margarita fiesta! The first day of the Hunt Seat classes brought out some of the biggest numbers of the show with 32 in the Green Hunter Under Saddle. Circuit champions were named in the Showmanship classes yesterday with Jessica Baird and Cool Lopin Lady winning the Amateur Level 3 and myself showing Lethal Secret Weapon winning the Amateur Level 2 with a total of 31 exhibitors showing!
More of the prestigious Big A circuit chairs were handed out this morning as the second round of the HUS classes took place. Taking home the circuit in the amateur was Alicia Porter with Hubbout A Dance. Reserve circuit went to Sara Nimigan and Al Ways on Your Mind, a talented 3-year-old who took home multiple wins in the Show for Dough and Premier Sires classes as well. Everyone is looking forward to more circuits being given over the next two days as the show wraps up!

Hi, it’s Cheyenne! We have enjoyed being here at the Big A and are proud of all the horses and exhibitors. I’m especially proud of my 3-year-old pleasure horse (Unanimously Too Cool, aka “Allie”) with a second, third and fourth out of 15 in 13 & under Western Pleasure. My all-around horse (Huntin for Candy, aka “The Amazing Skampo”) received first, third and fourth in the the first round of 13 & under Trail with a total of 22. Also, (Miss Al E Kat aka “Annie”) and I were third, fifth, and sixth on the first day of the 13 & under HUS. This was only third time showing her! I love how big the 13 & under classes are here!
