A Benefit Cutting will be held September 28 to help Rein in Cancer. Fund-raising fun and games will be held during the Beef Empire CHA-produced National Cutting Horse Association approved event in Cherokee, Oklahoma.
Special activities begin with a bridleless cutting with the teams to be auctioned off at approximately 6 pm in a Calcutta-style auction.
Various fund-raising activities for Rein In Cancer will take place. Attendees can opt to try the frisbee toss, dummy roping, silent auction, or paint ball “target shooting.”
The Officers of Rein in Cancer are appreciative of the generosity of the Beef Empire Cutting Horse Association in staging these special activities. Rein in Cancer Secretary-Treasurer Tracie Anderson noted, “We are so excited and grateful to Beef Empire Cutting Horse Association for hosting this event and hope the cutters enter up in the special events and buy the Calcutta participants to help Rein in Cancer. The need for help is great among horse industry cancer patients.”
She added that Rein in Cancer has provided financial support to more than a dozen horsemen and horsewomen in Oklahoma and Kansas. Any member of the AQHA, NCHA, NRHA or NRCHA currently undergoing cancer treatment can receive a cash supplement from Rein In Cancer by simply filling out a simple application.
