Sunny skies, mild temperatures, and a slight breeze greeted competitors at the 2014 Gateway Classic yesterday in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Yesterday’s competition consisted of a special event Trail, Horsemanship, and Western Pleasure show that was judged by Merle Arbo.
On May 21st at 4:00 pm, early birds at the show were treated to a Horsemanship Clinic with Robin Frid.
The first of six AQHA shows kick off today with a triple judged event that shows Kelly McDowall, Beckey Schooler, and Michelle Tidwell on the roster. Another triple judged event will take place Sunday and Monday with Andrea Simons, Jessica Gilliam, and Rusty Green officiating.
A full slate of AQHA/NSBA EWD, Equestrians With Disabilities, classes will take place at this show. Classes will include AQHA/NSBA EWD Trail – Supported Rider, AQHA/NSBA EWD Trail – Independent Rider, AQHA/NSBA EWD Western Pleasure – Independent Riders, AQHA/NSBA EWD Horsemanship – Independent Rider, AQHA/NSBA EWD Showmanship, AQHA/NSBA EWD HUS – Independent Rider, and AQHA/NSBA EWD Equitation.
