All registrations submitted to APHA as of January 1, 2022, will require parentage verification to be completed. This is the result of a rule change to RG-125 passed by elected state directors at the 2021 APHA Convention in February.

Continue reading …During the 2021 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show, Texas Tech University took home the title of AQHA collegiate horse judging world champions in the senior college division, while Northeastern Oklahoma claimed the world title in the junior college division. Top individual honors were awarded to Makenzie Knipe of West Texas A&M University in the senior college division. Angie Newbold of Northeastern Oklahoma took home the top individual title in the junior college division.

Continue reading …The 2021 AQHA All-Around Amateur is Morgan Ratkowski of Pleasant View, Tennessee, who showed her American Quarter Horse, Better Buy The Minit. The 2005 bay gelding by Do You Have A Minute and out of Tickle My Asset, was bred by Kramer/Davis of Reddick, Florida. Ratkowski and Better Buy The Minit earned 57 points in the all-around amateur competition. The team earned the amateur world champion titles in working hunter, hunter hack, and equitation over fences and the reserve world champion title in amateur hunt seat equitation.
Continue reading …The 2021 Farnam AQHA Superhorse is Snap It Send It owned by Kent Ray Taylor of Mesa, Arizona. The 2016 gray mare, by VS Code Red and out of Snap Krackle Pop, was bred by Twylla Lynn Brown from Perry, Missouri. Snap It Send It earned 29 points and was shown by AQHA Professional Horseman Blake Weis of Pilot Point, Texas. Snap It Send It won the world champion title in junior trail, placed fourth in performance halter mares, eighth in junior western riding and was a finalist in junior western pleasure. Snap It Send It received a trailer, courtesy of Sundowner Trailers, an original Lisa Perry bronze and rose bouquet.

Then, Ross Roark led the mare to win at the Congress and be named the Grand Champion Mare. Also, Bob Cassata won the select division here at the show, and JR Cook won the amateur division at the show.
