When AMERICANA opens its doors for international visitors September 4- 8, 2019, Augsburg will become the centre of Western Riding in Europe once more. Europe’s premier western event offers the biggest fair for Western and leisure riding plus one of the biggest shows of Europe with a total purse of  EUR 150,000-added. Especially AMERICANA’s reining and cattle classes have gained worldwide fame.  

No entries will be taken without a check or credit card to hold the entries. If you’re showing in all three circuits, you will need separate payment at all three shows. Also, be prepared once to present all paperwork. (Even if you just showed with us last weekend.) If you’re showing the entire series, present complete paperwork at the start and then only basic information is required from there forward. But, you must fill out an entry form at EACH show.

There will be $15,000 awarded to the winner of both the 3 & Over Novice Horse Western Pleasure and 3 & Over Maiden Horse Western Pleasure. There will be Champion and Reserve Champion Intermediate and Limited Rider awards too. In addition, the $2,000 Harris Bonus Challenge will be back again. 

“Steve, your Dad is in the hospital.” These are the first words I remember from my the beginning of my horse show life. It all happened when my father broke his hip at a horse show. After that, I never wanted to ride. Ever. But, as it turns out, I kind of have a knack for showing horses.
