The OMIQHA Warm Up Show had a fantastic turnout for the Ohio Michigan Indiana Quarter Horse Association as their biggest show to date. The event took place April 13-14 at the Eden Park Equestrian Complex in Sunbury, Ohio with judges April and Casey Devitt officiating.

Continue reading …Modifications to registration-related items were approved by AQHA members and the AQHA Board of Directors at the 2019 AQHA Convention, March 8-11 in Fort Worth, Texas. Per the Association’s bylaws, the board of directors has the final authority when it comes to AQHA’s bylaws and rules of registration. Rule-change recommendations from all of the other standing committees were reviewed and approved by the board of directors. Those recommendations go to the AQHA Executive Committee for review, modification and/or approval at its April meeting.

A number of Tracy’s friends and fellow competitors showed their support for her then stage 4 cancer diagnosis by placing a hand over their hearts during the awards presentations at the show. Continue reading …Most studs have preferences, and Radical was no exception. He always liked to have a mare nearby him in the barn, and he favored sorrel mares. His favorite at Select Breeders was Tumbleweed, a long retired mare that was probably more than 30 years old herself. She was happy to have “the good life” in a stall near Radical to keep him content.
