The IQHA Winner Circuit, January 25-29, 2023, just wrapped up at C Bar C Cowpokes Arena in Cloverdale, Indiana.   The show was AQHA, IQHA, NSBA and IKI approved.

Judges were Brett Clark, Stephen Stephens, Jake Hartman, Shane Young, John Kunkle, and Jennifer Leckey, and the Saturday Trail Judges were Rob Meneely, Glenn Wells, and Manita Defoor.

The two winning Trainer Challenge teams. Over $13,000 was raised for Jason Ducharme and Stephanie Riddell. One point separated the teams.

Even though they started off in frigid temperatures, everyone persevered and made the show competitive, memorable, and fun. One of the highlights of the show was the Trainer Challenge and Calcutta to raise funds for Jason Ducharme and Stephanie Riddell.

The winning teams, “I’m Pretty, He’s on the B-Team” (Chris Jones and Tessa Dalton) and “I Whisper From The Rail” (Jeff Greaves and Becky Schooler) were separated by one point and a total of $13,000 was raised!

In keeping with the fun vibe of the show, Kathy Avolt of An Equine Production shared her show ditty with the horses’ names for lots of laughs:

“The C Bar C Winner Circuit at the Cowpokes Arena has started off under a blizzard. But everyone safely arrived and it will be in the 40’s by the weekend. But we decided that it was Definately A First when out in the parking lot The Caped Crusader was throwing snowballs at Charlie Barkley. Now while outside, someone hollered to not Whiz In The Sno. A big grin was seen and a hearty laughter followed with a cowboy saying he was not Inkryminating himself to that dirty deed.

Inside, after the trail, several folks decided that it was better to just have a party back at their stalls. Chris 1, Chris 2 and Chris 3 (there are a lot of Chris’ here) all laughed and said Yoho A Bottle Of Rum was the theme of the party. Chris 4 was Early To Dee Bar as they were still setting up the cocktails. Jeff brought One Good Margarita instead of his (My) Legendary Rum.

All of the great youth exhibitors decided they should probably just practice their Horsemanship lead changes. Young Joseph hollered Guess Whoo at the pretty red-headed youth exhibitor. He could not help but pull out his best Johnny Cash voice and said Helllo Darlin. He was Playin It Cool when it came to his spins though in the Reining classes.

Kyle 1 decided that he Cant Help Being Lazy. While Kyle 2 was Hot Without A Doubt. And Kyle 3 (we have a lot of Kyle’s here too!) just laughed and took off on the golf cart hollering that he was Driving Me Lazy.

At the end of the day, we were Kickin Dust Up in the warm up pen. Good Girl (Had) Gone Lazy and just watched from the rail. Still time to come and join us at the C Bar C Winner Circuit.”
