Around the Rings Photos and Results – Oregon QHA Winter Breakout

The Oregon Quarter Horse Association just finished up its 4-judge AQHA/APHA Winter Breakout Show  that ran from January 19-22, 2023, at Oregon Horse Center in Eugene, Oregon.

Judges were Tanya Green, Marilyn Randall, Scott Neuman, and Michele Pearson, and the Oregon Quarter Horse Association also hosted all-breed classes and beginner-specific classes.  They used two arenas with Keri Croft managing and Marla Fadel as show secretary.

Though the cold weather tried to interrupt the fun, Mother Nature wasn’t aware of the tenacity of horse folks, as they had a great time and a very successful show.

Denys Buss of Portland, Oregon, attended the show with her horse, Alotta Good Faith, and they ended up winning the APHA Amateur Walk / Trot  High Point.  She says, “We love this show because it’s close to home and allows us to see our local horse show community! While the weather was cold, it didn’t dampen the fun that we all had! We were able to compete, and also set some goals to keep working on before the next show. Thank you to everyone who works behind the scenes to make these shows happen.”
