Judge applicants for associations go through rigorous testing (and current judges also must retest on a regular basis), and that testing includes a written rulebook test, a video test, video judging, live judging, and applicant interviews with the association’s judge advisory committee.
AQHA hosts the Judge Applicant Qualifying Exam in conjunction with APHA and WCHA, and the live portion is happening today, May 23, at Equine Enterprise in Pilot Point, Texas!

Thank you to APHA Judge Advisory Committee Member Mark Kuhlwein for the candid photos from the live portion! Keep scrolling for information on how to join the seminars online so you can benefit from learning how judges are instructed to evaluate your favorite classes!
