Around the Rings at The Keystone Showdown

The Keystone Showdown kicked off June 19th with an all Novice AQHA show, judged by Bruce Brown and Amber Clark. Historically, this has been the #1 AQHA Novice show in the country since 2014! The main AQHA show took place June 20-23 and was judged by Jeff Allen, Melissa Dukes, Jeff Mellott, Curtis Reynolds, and Andrea Simons.

In addition to new open and non pro Ranch Rail classes that were added to the schedule this year, there was also over $35,000 in awards and prizes to be given out. For a bit of fun, competitors were treated to the country stylings of The Jesse Wade Gang on Friday night during the Exhibitors Party.

Congratulations to big winners at the show like Cheyenne Brand with Yawl A Cleat, who received a first place award in L1 Youth Hunter Under Saddle, Samantha Harvey with Icantakeagoodlook in L1 Youth Western Horsemanship, and Susan Gordon with Chocolatecoverdcowbo in L1 Amateur Western Pleasure. Andrew Raley rode Hoo Ya Lukin At to place first in L1 Amateur Hunter Under Saddle, Ursula Hodgson rode Im Fun Sized to place first in L1 Amateur Showmanship, and Kelsey Gardiner led Thesupernatural to place first in L1 Youth Showmanship. Other winners included Samantha Hartman and Zips Like A Million with a first place in L1 Amateur Horsemanship, Melissa Kelly with RMR Slot Machine with a first in L1 Amateur Trail, Samantha Harvey with Icantakeagoodlook in L1 Hunt Seat Equitation, Alyssa Moyer with RL Rockefeller in L1 Youth Western Pleasure, and Jessica Husler with Moonlight N Whizkey in L1 Amateur Ranch Riding.
