Around the Rings – 2023 Virginia Color Classic Futurity Show

The 2023 Virginia Color Classic Futurity Show just wrapped up, spanning the dates of September 1-3, 2023, at Virginia Horse Center in Lexington.

Judges were Clint Fullerton, Lori Gordon, Jennifer Kunkle, and John Kunkle, and the show offered Color Classic Futurity classes, Virginia Bred Futurity classes, 4 sets of APHA points, 2 sets of NSBA points, and $10,000 Chrome Cash, thanks to the American Paint Horse Association.

 

The club also hosted 6 NSBA $1,000 added classes, thanks to the Virginia Horse Industry Board and other sponsors, as well as a $500 tobiano incentive, thanks to the American Tobiano Horse Association.

When the show was over, exhibitors had been awarded more than $60,000 in prize money along with six NSBA trophies, 30 Molly’s Custom Silver belt buckles, more than 100 neck ribbons, and more than 200 circuit awards, VPHC reports.  In addition, the Virginia Junior Paint Horse Club held a silent auction in the show office.
