Around the Rings – 2023 Martinganza Show and Futurity

The recent 2023 Martinganza AQHA Show and Futurity & APHA, NSBA Show which spanned March 30 – April 2, 2023, was the largest in 23 years! The show estimates they will finish up with over 7000 entries and the show committee extends its appreciation to sponsors, exhibitors and the entire show team.
Judges were Brent Maxwell (replacing Margo Ball), Clay Cavinder, Lynda Danielson, Lisa Moden, Gretchen Mathes, and Jonathan Meilleur.
The first show was held in 2001, and the first year committee members were Ken & Edwina Johnson, Alvin Crandall, Gary & Diane Phelps, Susan & Jim Rouse, Linda Falls, Mrs. Mary, and Beth Tew. The second year additional members were Pam Jackson, Steve Reams, Paul Thurston.
Thank you to the Kenneth & Susan Daniels show team for this year’s amazing continuation of that tradition started 23 years ago.

The Equine Chronicle sponsored an exhibitor party on Friday night, and the EC’s own Gordon Downey had this to say, “The caterers provided fabulous hospitality and great flavor! Green beans, coleslaw, great barbeque, potatoes and rolls, with banana pudding and peach cobbler, and Milo’s iced tea!”
