In the last Western Pleasure class of the show, L3 Youth 14-18 Western Pleasure, Lane Kail switched disciplines to show his horse, Battarang, to win a Gold Globe.
Lane says the gelding they call Judy is very patient with him even when he’s occasionally stressed out. “We have a lot of early mornings where I’m not completely in the zone, and he’s always been there for me and has shown up when it matters most,” says Lane. “He never fails to amaze us; he’s one in a million, and I’m forever grateful to show this horse.”
