Around the Rings- 2019 Redbud Spectacular

The 2019 Redbud Spectacular began May 30th and will continue through June 9th in Oklahoma City. Judges for the show are Jeff Allen, John Briggs, Jan Hoskin-Hay, Louis Hufnagel, Chele McGauley, Sissy Anderson, Jessica Gilliam, Ryan Kail, Kim Myers, Jeffrey Pait, William Brumbaugh, Gary Duffy, Justin Johnson, Morgan Lybbert, Doug Milholland, Eddie Cridge, Clint Haverty, Kristen Lilley, Jeff Petska, Fielding Rodgers, and Mark Miller.

Throughout the duration of the 11-day event, AQHA competitors will have the opportunity to show three times (halter twice) for eight sets of AQHA points.

Congratulations to a few big winners at the show over the weekend! Jeff Mellott with Ima Lazy Cowboy in Senior L1 Trail; Ariana Ciminio with RL Best of Goodbar and Kacy Jo Philpot with Lil Boss Man in 14-18 Trail L3; Angela Wade with The Perfect Kryme in Amateur Trail; and Jamie DeVencenty with Chex Is The Choice and Bonnie Sheren with Heza Radical Zip in Select L3 Trail.

Open Western Pleasure Level 1 winners include Mike Moser with Lopen The Gift and RJ King with VS Goodride. Youth L1 Western Pleasure winners include Isabella Buckley with Roses Only and Alexa Frencl with Earn An Invitation. The Select Western Pleasure L3 winner was Kent Taylor with Don’t Think Twice.

Amateur Level 1 Horsemanship winners include Christianna Shuckman with Shez Hot N Platinum, Cheryl Dunkley with Just Zip By Me and Rachel Sackrider with An Impulse To Be Hot. 14-18 Horsemanship L3 winners included Payton Neiberger with Invitemeforchocolat, Emily Maul with Only Temptation, Cori Cansdale with Promotional Asset, Mackenzie Matthews with Virtually Perfect, and Brooke Jolstad with Betta Believe It.
