As the 2015 AQHA Select World Show quickly draws to a close in Amarillo, TX, there are many newly crowned World Champions to congratulate! This first big winner this morning was crowned during a tough Tim Kimura Trail finals. Winning the class with a score of 234 was Susan Johns with Heza Radical Zip. The Reserve World Champion, Jenny Carlton and One Good Rip, received a 228. Rounding out the top three was Charlene Lane and Suddenly A Good Bar with a score of 226.

Yesterday’s competition schedule was full of action with winners crowned in multiple Halter classes, Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Pleasure Driving, Reining, and Ranch Riding. Sherrie Gultz piloted Invy Of Me to win Select Showmanship. Linda Coakley and Patsys Royal Secret were named the Reserve World Champions for the third year in a row! Rounding out the top three was Shelley Graham with Jet Roddin Zippo.

Meanwhile, Mimsi Roe Coon led Mattlock to win 2-Year-Old Geldings and Entrigue to place Reserve in Yearling Mares.

Mrs. Lori Bucholz was in the cart behind her gelding, Larks Happy Days, to win Pleasure Driving. She was followed in Reserve by good friend, Rodger Call, with Go Big Sky. Third place was Vanessa Henderson with Platinum N Diamonds.
Michael Garnett and Arc Smokin Gun slid, spun, and stopped to a World Champion finish in Reining. He was followed in Reserve by Clay Dupray aboard Nimble Gun. Jim Bound and Bound For Pay Chex came in third in both Reining and Ranch Riding. The World Champion in Ranch Riding was Melissa Ann Miller/Roo Star. Reserve was Nonie Casselman-Reed with Zeena Lena.
The main event of last night’s competition was Select Western Pleasure. Claiming the top spot, and her first World Champion title, was Carrie Chown aboard her mare, Hot Precious Lexus. Richard Carr rode OHK Goodbars Krymsun to place Reserve. Rounding out the top three was Perry Jackson with Cutelicious.
