AQHA Publicity
There’s something to be said for a horse’s bloodlines and pedigree, and it is AQHA’s mission to record and preserve the pedigree of the American Quarter Horse, while maintaining the integrity of the breed and welfare of its horses.
As a member-driven organization, AQHA has rules in place to protect the integrity of the breed, and one of those rules is requiring a signature to process AQHA paperwork.
AQHA recently adopted DocuSign to make it easier for customers to submit electronic signatures. If an authorized signature was omitted when the paperwork was submitted, DocuSign enables people to electronically sign agreements from almost anywhere in just minutes.
“During the first week we used DocuSign, 75 percent of signers submitted an authorized signature within one hour,” said Aaron Bovos, AQHA chief operating officer. “Our goal is to get paperwork out the door and in the hands of our members. When a customer uses DocuSign, it allows our Member Experience team to accelerate the completion of the certificate instead of having to send the application/transfer in the mail.”
If a signature is required, a member of the AQHA Customer Care team will contact the member directly with the DocuSign form. Customers can then sign via their smartphone or computer. It’s safe, secure and legally binding. DocuSign meets and exceeds some of the most stringent global security standards and is compliant with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation.
