Exhibitors at the 2016 Nutrena East AQHA Level 1 Championships shined their boots and dusted off their hats for the first day of competition yesterday at the Gov. James B. Hunt Horse Complex in Raleigh, North Carolina. The show kicked off at 8 a.m. with Level 1 youth working hunter.
The Nutrena East Level 1 Championships, running May 4-8, offers a variety of events and activities for competitors, friends, family and spectators to take part in throughout the show, including free Ride the Pattern clinics taught by AQHA Professional Horsemen. This year’s show will once again feature Rookie classes, sponsored by AQHA Corporate Partner B&W Trailer Hitches, and more age divisions for Level 1 competitors.
New this year, AQHA Corporate Partner Nutrena will present a free educational session on body condition scoring and topline evaluation. The session will be presented by Jayne Dewey, who is a member of the Cargill Equine Enterprise Team, at the conclusion of Rookie Youth Reining on May 5 in the coliseum.
AQHA member services will be onsite at the Nutrena East Championships to take care of all your AQHA membership needs.
