PHJ press release by: Laura Jesberg
If you are a golfer, want the opportunity to win $15,000 and contribute to a good cause at the same time, then you need to enter the American Paint Horse Foundation’s “Swing for College” charity tournament. Scheduled for noon on Thursday, February 26, this tournament will take place at the Golf Club at Champions Circle, which is part of the Marriott resort near the Texas Motor Speedway in far north Fort Worth.
The tournament kicks off APHA’s annual Convention, but it is open to everyone. You don’t have to be an APHA member or Convention-goer to play this great course. The format is a four-man scramble; each golfer will receive:
Our $15,000 Hole-In-One contest will be conducted on par 3 hole #15: 187 yards for the men and 167 yards for the women. Two additional hole-in-one opportunities will be available for additional prizes, along with longest-drive and closest-to-the-pin contests.
Club rentals are available from the facility. The tournament is limited to 36 teams and the regular price is $150 per person or $600 per team. But if you enter before December 31, you can still get our special Early Bird pricing of $120 per person or $480 per team.
This tournament benefits Youth scholarships and will help encourage AjPHA members to stay active in the organization while aiding them in their college careers.
The APHF is also offering sponsorship opportunities for this tournament. All of the tournament information as well as a convenient online entry form can be found on the Foundation website.
