From All Star Reining Stakes:
Owners have just a few more days to enroll their futurity and derby prospects for the All Star Reining Stakes (ASRS). The deadline for enrollment for foals by 2024-nominated stallions is December 31.
Any foal by a 2024–nominated stallion can enroll to compete at the All Star Reining Stakes, which will be held during the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio, in October. It is a valuable opportunity for enrollers and owners to earn their share of what will be another record payout. The 2025 payout is slated to increase to at least $650,000.
After the December 31 deadline, foals by 2025-nominated stallions are eligible for enrollment.
“We experienced huge success during the 2024 All Star Reining Stakes, and we just keep growing,” says Vincienzo Santos, one of the owners of the ASRS. “We can’t wait to see what we can do in 2025 and beyond.”
Once a horse is nominated, that horse is eligible to compete at the All Star throughout his futurity and derby career. Nominators can expect to earn money from their investment, even if they sell the nominated horse later. Nominators earn 5% of a horse’s earnings, should he place at any time throughout this futurity and derby career.
Enrollment is open for all ages from weanling ($156) to derby age (4, 5, 6 and 7 for $524). Offspring of non-nominated stallions can be enrolled at any time ($260). Prospects can be nominated at any point prior to entries being due.
Prospect enrollments are open for future All Star Reining Stakes until December 31. The form can be found and filled out online: https://form.jotform.com/230254787887169
Stallion nominations are still being accepted for the All Star Reining Stakes Stallion Auction, presented by Markel. The auction will be held online January 27 – February 9.

ALL STAR REINING STAKES The All Star Reining Stakes is the culmination of the work of Vincienzo Santos, Shannon Rafacz and Chris Wiley, reining professionals who were looking for a way to celebrate the industry and the backbone of the sport: the stallions, stallion owners and the breeders.
