The American Quarter Horse Association is excited to announce that on Saturday, September 27, Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm opened the 2014 season with a giant maze that salutes the 75th anniversary of the Association.
“Our giant maze salutes the American Quarter Horse with an intricate and sprawling maze where participants can learn fun facts about America’s favorite horse and win prizes,” said Larry Borger, owner of Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm. “We’re excited to partner with the great folks at AQHA to celebrate this monumental anniversary of this great organization right here in our hometown.
“You can explore our giant American Quarter Horse maze day or night, after experiencing our family favorite sing-a-long hayrides that carry passengers to the giant maze and pumpkin patch. Register to win a $1,000 shopping spree at Westgate Mall after completing all of the interesting and fun checkpoints about the American Quarter Horse,” Borger said.
Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm has transformed more than 80 acres of farmland into a fun, thrilling and educational living laboratory where everyone from toddlers to teenagers and their grandparents are discovering what’s so great about good, old country fun.
“Spend the entire day at Maxwell’s with more than 20 rides and activities to make it worth your while to get out of the house and have a day of country family fun,” Borger said.
Activities include: the giant AQHA maze, Mountain Slide Ziplines, an obstacle course, a gigantic jumping pillow, wagon trail rides, the Ducky Derby, Tire Mountain, Texas-style volleyball, giant mountain slides, the pumpkin jumper, a hay pyramid, the cow train, corn box, Bunnyville, the peddle kart track, Trike Town, steer roping and jumping ball races.
Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm also includes Maxwell’s Market, where you can shop for fall decorating items, including unusual pumpkins and gourds, as well as Maxwell’s Munchies, which features your favorite country fair foods like corn dogs, hot dogs, funnel cakes and more.
Reserve one of Maxwell’s Shindig Shacks, which are perfect for family, church or school get-togethers. Call 806-373-9600 to reserve your campfire site or to reserve a Shindig Shack to celebrate a birthday.
