Press release
In an update from Pete Kyle, Chairman of the USEF Reining Committee, it was announced this week that the ongoing online auction has received some important donations.
According to Kyle, the USET Reining Auction now includes training by some of the top names in the reining industry. Bidders can buy a month’s training and board with superstars like Shawn Flarida and Tim McQuay, who headline an exemplary group of world-class trainers who have donated their time for the cause of sending Team USA to the World Equestrian Games, set for Normandy, France August 23 – September 7.
The World Equestrian Game competition is the most prestigious and competitive international event for Reining and it only comes once every four years. The costs of selecting and sending a team to Europe are significant. Besides the horses, veterinarians, riders, chef d’ equipe, grooms and a farrier are all critical members of the delegation that make up Team USA.
Since the United States Equestrian Team does not receive government subsidies, its funding comes primarily through the USET Foundation from individuals and foundations whose interest in and commitment to reining motivates them to make generous charitable contributions.
The proceeds of the USET Reining Stallion Online Auction will go directly to be a part of this total – for the sole purpose of fielding the WEG Reining Team.
Kyle has been amazed at the readiness of the reining world to donate its time and resources to the cause. “We so appreciate everyone who is donating,” he said. “And we also appreciate people going to the site and bidding. Whether it’s a breeding or some training, or even equine dental treatment, you might find it there. And there are more donations being posted daily.”
The auction is online now and will conclude at 7 pm on December 15, 2013. For information on how to donate to the auction – or to bid on an available breeding or service, go to http://pro-management-inc.com/USET/index.php and help the USA Reining Team to bring home the gold!
