A favorite World Show staple, the Farnam Breeders’ Trust Select Sale will take place November 7 in conjunction with the 2015 APHA World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas. Get ready to bid on some of the industry’s finest performance horses in the elite Yearling Stakes Session, or find the Breeders’ Trust-participating horse of your dreams in the regular session.

Consignment deadline for the 2015 sale is September 15. Consignment forms will be available on apha.com/oawcs/sale or by contacting Director of Breeders’ Trust/Breeders’ Futurity Candy Jebavy at 817-222-6441 or cjebavy@apha.com.

Horses participating in the sale must be nominated or subscribed to the Breeders’ Trust or bred to a Breeders’ Trust-subscribed stallion. The Yearling Pleasure Stakes Session features young Western pleasure and hunter under saddle prospects—horses selling in the Stakes Session become eligible to return and compete in their respective Farnam Stakes classes at ages 2, 3 and 4. In 2015, these classes include a $50,000 combined purse for the two Farnam 2-Year-Old Pleasure Stakes classes—Western pleasure and hunter under saddle—as well as a combined $7,000 added to the 2015 Farnam Non-Pro 3- and 4-Year-Old Pleasure Stakes classes.

New for 2016 will be a Limited Exhibitor division in the popular Farnam 2-Year-Old Pleasure Stakes classes—the purses will be split 65 percent to the Open division and 35 percent to the Limited division; the event will be offered as a class within a class. To be eligible for the limited division, an exhibitor must meet the following requirements:

·         The exhibitor has NOT, in the past five years, been an:

o   APHA world champion or reserve world champion (open division/all classes) to include champions/reserve champions in Farnam 2-Year-Old Pleasure Stakes classes, futurities, maturities, stakes, challenges, sweepstakes.

o   AQHA world champion or reserve world champion (open division/all classes) to include champions/reserve champions in futurities, maturities, stakes, sweepstakes.

o   AQHA Congress champion or reserve Congress champion (open division/all classes) to include champions/reserve champions in futurities, maturities, stakes, sweepstakes.

o   ApHC world champion or reserve world champion (open division/all classes) to include champions/reserve champions in futurities, maturities, stakes, sweepstakes.

·         NSBA lifetime earnings cannot exceed $15,000. Refer to 2015 Rider List on nsba.com.

·         All Amateur and Youth are eligible. All Amateur and Youth program rules apply (i.e. ownership/lease and status, etc.) All Amateurs must own/lease their horse to be eligible to compete. Youth are not required to own/lease their horse to be eligible to compete.

·         The limited champion or reserve limited champion of the Farnam 2-Year-Old Pleasure Stakes classes will not be eligible to compete as a Limited exhibitor the following year.
