2015 NSBA World Show Schedule, Important Changes to 2016 World Show Qualification

May 15th is the final deadline to nominate a stallion to the 2015 NSBA BCF Program for $400. Enrollments after this date are subject to an enrollment fee of $800. Additionally, don’t forget to nominate your yearlings into the Breeders Championship Futurity by May 15th. Nominations received before this deadline are $150 ea. After May 15th, the price for yearling nomination increases to $1000.

All Over Fence Classes moved to the first weekend, August 9!

Come Early – Show for AQHA & NSBA Points at the Show Your Colors Event, Aug 8-9!

NSBA will offer 3 AQHA split/combined shows, with two sets of NSBA Dual Approved points. This event will take place at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex in Tulsa, OK August 8-9, immediately preceding the NSBA World Championship Show.

2015 NSBA Riders Cup

Scheduled for October 3-4, the 2015 NSBA Riders Cup is estimated to pay over $50,000 in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, Western Riding, Showmanship At Halter, Western Horsemanship, and Hunt Seat Equitation events.

Important changes for 2016 NSBA World Show Qualifying are in effect!

For the 2016 NSBA World Show Qualifying Period– May 1, 2015 though April 30, 2016 –exhibitors will need to participate in each World Show Qualifying Class a total of 5 times. Horses and exhibitors that do not meet this minimum requirement may enter and show at the 2016 NSBA World Championship Show upon payment of a $150 Qualification Fee.

The list of qualifying classes has been expanded to include all Green and Novice classes, as well as Ranch Riding. The full list of 2016 Qualifying Classes can be found here.

NSBA FOUNDATION UPDATE!

Members of the NSBA Foundation Board met in Chicago, IL on April 27 & 28. Led by 2015 President Susan Knapp, the group was able to set plans for diversifying bases of support for the Foundation in 2015 and beyond.

Key among these was the expansion of the Equestrians with Disabilities program, and the offering of Dual Approved EWD classes at this year’s All American Quarter Horse Congress.
