Who’s ready for the 2015 Virginia Quarter Horse Classic?! Although it might seem a ways off yet, VQHA has just announced the judges’ list and released a showbill for the event. The show will take place April 16-19 at the picturesque Virginia Horse Center in Lexington.

Charged with the task of determining the winners during the event will be judges Lynda Danielson, Larry Hansch, Suzy Jeane, Kelly McDowall, Nancy Sue Ryan, and Karen Watters. For an all-inclusive fee of $350 per horse, exhibitors will receive all AQHA class fees, all AQHA drug fees, office charges, one horse stall, and the opportunity to show to six judges over the course of four days!VA

The Equine Chronicle is proud to be a sponsor of the 2015 Virginia Classic once again this year and will be hosting The Equine Chronicle Exhibitors’ Party just prior to the Hylton Maiden $50,000 3 and Over Western Pleasure. The big event will take place Saturday, April 18th and will be NSBA approved.

The $1,500 entry fee will be due March 21st. Late entries will be accepted until the Friday before the class at 5:00 pm, however, an additional late fee of $500 will apply. In addition to taking home a huge check, the owner of the winning Hylton Maiden horse will receive a FREE Breeding to Invitation to Flash, 2008 AQHA World Champion Performance Halter Stallion and 2008 AQHA Honor Roll High Point Green Western Pleasure Horse.

Another fun event returning to the show for 2015 is the Harris Versatility Challenge. Each horse and rider combination must complete a series of three classes including Challenge Western Riding on Thursday, Challenge Trail on Friday, and Challenge Western Pleasure on Saturday.

The entry fee is $100 and 75% will be jackpoted per NSBA’s payout schedule. The winner will receive a Harris Work Saddle! For additional information about entry into the Hylton Maiden or Harris Challenge, contact Laura.boardwine@electro-mechanical.com

Something new for 2015 is the addition of $250 added in Amateur Ranch Horse Pleasure, courtesy of 1999 AQHA Sorrel Stallion Heza Classy Chic.
