Over the past few weeks, there has been an outpouring of support for the Pope family, following the passing of their beloved 17 month-old son, Stone Pope.  In addition to the Heart of Stone Fundraiser, which is selling logo t-shirts, hoodies, and ball caps to help raise funds for the family, a number of other individuals in the horse industry have come up with their own unique ways to make personal contributions.

We have compiled a list below for the convenience of our readers. If you plan to make a similar gesture, please e-mail your details to b.bevis@equinechronicle.com, and we would be happy to add you to the list.

*Disclaimer- Each fundraiser has been set up by the individuals involved, and The Equine Chronicle is in no way responsible for the collection of funds or distribution of items.

kyleJennifer Kyle– Jennifer is an AQHA amateur from Northern California who currently competes under the guidance of Nancy Alto-Renfro. She will be running in the San Francisco Marathon in July 2015 and has set up a donation page in Stone’s name.

“I’ve never met the Pope family, but their loss of Stone and the uprising of support from the horse show community touched me beyond what I ever thought it could,” she says.

Click here to visit her donation page: https://www.crowdrise.com/HeartofStone. Thus far, 32% of her $1,000 goal has been raised.

hilary2Hillary Martin– Hillary is a competitor who is active on the Wisconsin Quarter Horse Circuit. She plans to give 100% of her Jamberry Nails earnings this month to the Pope Family. Jamberry currently has a nail wrap in honor of the American Heart association, and $2 from each purchase is given to the American Heart Association. In addition to the heart designs, there are 350 other designs to choose from.

tinaTina Spencer Wooddell- Most people know Tina as the owner of Sky Ten Ranch and the horse show mom of Skylar Wooddell, who competes with her horse Radical Rumble under the guidance of Brent Tincher.

Tina also happens to be an Independent Designer for Keep Collective. Keep Collective is a collection of one-of-a-kind, interchangeable Keepers and Keys. Each one is a wearable touchstone, an instant reminder of the big things, the small things, and all the things that matter. The possiblities and combinations are endless, and the keys are interchangeable and easy to switch around. There are over 400 keys to choose from.

Tina will be donating 100% of her commission on all designs this month to The American Heart Association in Stone’s name. To date, the fundraiser has made $163.00. Remember, you don’t have to order a “Stone-themed” design for the commission to be donated to The American Heart Association. You can come up with your own design or Tina would be happy to help. This special promotion closes March 1st, 2015.
