Day 1 at the 2014 AQHA Select World Show With Linda Coakley

Hello Equine Chronicle from Amarillo!
My name is Linda Coakley, and I am showing my gelding, Charlie, [Patsys Royal Secret] here at the AQHA Adequan Select World Championship Show. This morning I showed in Showmanship and made the Finals, probably because my trainer, Kip Larson, made sure my tie was perfect!
Tomorrow, we show Halter and the Preliminaries of Horsemanship. Being from Washington State, the rain today was actually welcome! We were greeted with this beautiful rainbow over the grounds. My horse loves it!
I truly enjoy this show. The atmosphere is amazing, everyone here is experienced, and we all have a wonderful time. Tonight is a party at the AQHA Hall of Fame with eats, drinks, socializing and we get to wander through the museum.
Right now, we are relaxing while watching the Western Pleasure Preliminaries. Later, we will school for tomorrow, watch a clinic on horsemanship, and then hit the party!
