Reichert Celebration All Cowgirl Showdown Raises $8,000+ For National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame

Saturday evening at the 2014 Reichert Celebration was all about quick draws and bidding for a good cause during the inaugural All Cowgirl Showdown. A group of the top CMSA women riders in the country gathered to participate in a fun Cowboy Mounted Shooting event where they were paired with 13 VIP shooters for a calcutta and accompanying competition to benefit the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame located in Fort Worth, Texas.
If you’ve never been to the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame before, interactive exhibits like the Bronc Ride are perfect for youngsters, while the extensive collection of archival photographs, costume pieces, and artifacts will delight historians who’d like to learn more about cowgirls like Annie Oakley, Patsy Cline, Temple Grandin, Charmayne James, and Carol Rose, just to name a few.

The emcee for the evening was the enthusiastic “Outlaw Annie,” Annie Bianco Ellett, a World and National Champion mounted shooter, lifetime AQHA and APHA member, CMSA Hall of Fame inductee, and perhaps one of the most recognizable faces in the sport.

Once the entire field of shooters was narrowed down to the top 12, each finalist was paired with a VIP shooter and auctioned off as a team in a calcutta. At the end of the competition, over $8,000 was raised to benefit the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame!
