Press release
The Missouri Paint Horse Club has instituted a new Rookie program for the 2014 show season.
“Rookies are eligible for free entry fees when coming to our 2014 shows,” says Show Committee member and all-around Paint Horse exhibitor Blair Bergeson. “We want to attract exhibitors who haven’t been showing at our APHA approved Paint breed shows.”
Exhibitors who qualify for the MPHC Rookie program are those who have never earned national points in any recognized breed show (see APHA Rule AM-205 for breed listing), have never earned Missouri Paint Horse Club state points, have a current 2014 membership card, an APHA Novice Youth or Amateur card, and a current 2014 membership in the MPHC.
When meeting these qualifications, MPHC pays your entry fees for all youth walk-trot, amateur walk-trot, novice youth, or novice amateur classes plus your respective halter class. Exhibitors are expected to pay stall fees, office charge, and entry fees for any classes entered other than those designated ‘Novice.’
Should the Rookie exhibitor wish to qualify for High Point Walk Trot Rookie or High Point Novice Rookie (youth and amateur combined) of the year awards, a horse nomination fee is required.
