N.M. Horse Slaughter Plant Set to Open as Early as Jan. 1
According to a piece in the Southwest Farm Press, a horse slaughter plant in Roswell, New Mexico, is scheduled to open as early as January 1, 2014. However, a lawsuit was filed last week by the New Mexico Attorney General in an effort to block the plant’s plans to open their doors.
