It’s been another great day here at the Smartpak AQHA Novice Championships in Las Vegas. The trail classes were huge and it took most of the day to get through. The western riding was filled with quality athletes.
We spent the day getting prepared for Saturday’s events: Horsemanship and Western Pleasure. Longing and riding in the outdoor arenas is great in this climate. We are definitely not sad about missing the snowy weather we heard about back home!
There have been great clinicians here this week. Today, we got tips on the horsemanship pattern from top trainers Jim and Deanna Searles. We feel ready for tomorrow’s classes and are excited to compete. The only bad part of today is that we realized that we only have two days left here. It has gone by way too fast…
