EC Blog by: Maggie BellvilleCoyote Bluff CafeNormally, I would be writing about the Select World Show. You know, the who’s who, the horses, and all the happenings, but today I will be telling you about a favorite spot for all of the show-goers, Coyote Bluff Cafe. When looking at it from the the outside, you might say, really? And yes, everybody does. There are tumbleweeds rolling across the parking lot and the building hasn’t seen paint in years. You’d miss it if you didn’t know it was there. But once you wait in the line to get in, and find a seat, the fun begins.
The first thing you see is a porcelain bathtub filled with ice and long neck beers. The walls are covered with dollar bills and “other stuff.” It maybe seats 30 peeps, at the most.
But be sure to try the burgers with the cheese fries, the green chili stew or the Texas red chili. Take a chance and step inside! Don’t go Sunday or Monday though; they are closed. Also, the cafe was featured on the TV show, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, so it must be good!
