Let’s face it: life is hard, and sometimes you just need a break! Opportunities to rest and relax are not just a need–they are a necessity. A vacation can offer a chance to escape to a new or exotic location, or it can simply provide some quiet, rest, and relaxation away from the stress of everyday life.
According to an article on Marketwatch.com, Americans will take over 806 million domestic trips in 2024 and will spend an average amount of nearly $2,000 per person for a one-week trip. The most popular domestic vacation locations include Florida, California, Nevada, and New York, with New York City being the most visited city with a whopping 8.8 million visitors in 2023!
For the horse show exhibitor, vacations purely for the sake of fun and relaxation can be hard to come by–especially for those with limited financial resources or paid time off. But that doesn’t mean the horse show exhibitor has to miss out on all the fun; it just requires a little bit more creativity when planning “horse show vacations”. When asked what some of their favorite shows are each year, when it comes to travel and adding some non-horse-related fun, the Arizona Sun Circuit, Florida Gold and Gulf Coast Circuits, and the NSBA World Show topped many exhibitors’ lists.
