Madeline Rippeon and The Best Ryde
Madeline Rippeon and The Best Ryde won their L2 Youth 14-18 Showmanship, a class of 83, Friday evening at the 2024 AQHYA World Championship Show!
Maddie says it’s the first time she’s won the L2 Showmanship with The Best Ryde, and though it was a huge class and she knew she had a lot of great competion, she “honestly just trusted my horse and trusted my trainer, and he was just perfect. We made sure we were prepared and ready to go, so I was confident,” she explains.
She says she’s learned from past trainers as well, but now with Michael Colvin, he comes at the competition and training from a different perspective. “This horse can be a little tricky, and Michael is so good with him, he’s taught me to be a better horse woman, and a better person overall. I’m really grateful to have him as a trainer.”
